Howard studied art and design at Manchester in the mid 1970's and graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design specialising in Illustration in the 'Class of 78' .

He moved to London where, in collaboration with Alison Eldred at the ‘Young Artists Agency’, he illustrated for Book Publishers, Advertising and Design agencies.

Several years later he relocated to Cheshire and continued working as an illustrator for Manchester advertising and design agencies and produced artist’s impressions and aerial views for clients throughout the UK.

With the decline of the use of traditional Illustration and the rise of digital imagery Howard turned his attention to producing highly detailed graphic pen and ink drawings and beautiful landscape paintings, many of which are featured on this site.

Howard’s originals are for sale at several Art Galleries across the North West of the UK and his work is reproduced as Limited Edition prints.
